So I tried Bullet Journaling

I was actually contemplating on what to do since I'm currently on my semester break. I want to maximize my sembreak since I'm anticipating that the next semester will be tough and tiring. Since it'll be tough and tiring, I thought of helping myself to at least manage all the projects and paper works that will come my way. The only thing I thought that will be helpful, both in my academics and my personal artistic journey, is to have my own bullet journal. 😊😊😊
I just finished doing my bullet journal for November and I already can't wait to fill it in. I don't know if that's normal. I hope that's normal, though. As for the overall theme, I wanted everything to look simple but not limited to black and white since those are the colors we easily associate with simplicity ( or minimalism). Since I tried to stay away from black and white, I used brown and orange as the primary colors of the spread instead since these colors perfectly blend together.
If you want to know the materials I used, I'm planning to do a separate post since I know that it'll take me a week to compose all my thoughts about my materials. For the mean time, let's just say that the things I used on my first bullet journal spread are similar to what I use when I do my journal entries. 🌻🌻🌻
I'm currently on my trial phase with bullet journal and I hope that everything will turn great because if that happens, I'll be adapting bullet journaling next year. I'll let you know about my thoughts and verdict about bullet journaling soon. 😊😊😊

On Audrey and Francoise
Watching an Audrey Hepburn documentary on a Monday evening actually helped in understanding her as a person, not the glamorous celebrity. The fascination with Audrey actually started when I saw her in one of our old books. However, as time went by, the fascination with her beautiful face started to change into something more personal, existential and less physical. Aging must be one of the reasons for that change in taste, but as you discover more things about her, the more you realize that she is different from the initial assumptions made. Her smiles,as well as her slender body, hide the sadness caused by her earlier experiences in her youth.
The same goes with Francoise Hardy, my favorite French singer. Her earlier songs are beautiful, but it was her later songs that defined her as a singer- songwriter. Her later, post-yeye, songs have this charisma that makes you curious and observant. Also,as I listen to her later songs, I realized how maturity can cause a person to see things in a different way. Which in her case, a good (but sometimes sad) way. I'm starting to see aging in a good way, though, different from the ideas I had in the past.

Hello March
Hi from my little corner to you. It's been a long time since the last time I posted something on this blog. School's the main reason why, but I'm so happy because I'm having my school vacation *yehey*. Anyways, i'll just be showing some of the things I want to share because, in some ways, these inspired me to enjoy despite the stress of meeting the deadlines.
I've been wanting to read this book since last year and now that I'm about to finish reading it,I'm happy to made the decision of buying it. There are a lot of life lessons to learn from this book, which, I think, is applicable to everyone.
Waking up early and seeing how the colors of the sky change is one of the little things that I'm super blessed to experience. It's not everyday that we get to notice these little things especially when we are living in the every busy world of cities.
Because, what's not to love about this place?

Love in the Afternoon
There's something magical about the afternoons, be it a sunny afternoon or a rainy one.The wind blowing, the people walking and the trees dancing- these are just some of the elements of my ideal afternoon. Two people meeting for the first time and realizing that they are perfect for each other is a story that comes into my mind when I think of a perfect afternoon. This ideal story is despite the fact that Manila afternoons, the same goes with Manila mornings, mean traffic and pollution. Sometimes, I wonder what Manila would be like if traffic doesn't exists. It kind of looks like my way of escaping from the horrible reality of traffic/ urban problems that most cities experience, but I can't help it.
Growing up in a city surrounded by buildings and cars constantly questioned my idea, not just of an ideal afternoon, but also of an ideal city. Do cities really have to be full of high-rise buildings to be called progressive? Do cities really have to cut trees to make way for road widening projects, etc? That sounds like I'm against modernity, but it's just sad to think that the lack of spaces (by spaces, I mean parks or open areas) for people to relax and communicate can affect them holistically.
Now, the challenge to rethink of our cities is not just a task left to those who are knowledgeable about it. Ordinary citizen are part of the solution to make our ideal afternoon/ ideal cities come into existence.

If I were a songwriter...
which could only happen in an alternate universe, I would bike around town and observe people. I would write a song for the days when rain pours down and for the days I see flowers grow. I would write a song about the colorful umbrellas and the noisy cars that fill the streets. I would write a song about the windows and the people inside those windows. But of course, I would write a song about love- a song that would translate human emotions into something else.
